AOL TopSpeed enables the computer to load previously viewed web pages much faster by utilizing a cache to store static elements of a webpage. AOL TopSpeed uses it's own cache (not the browser's) that is determined by amount of free disk space, compresses the files it saves, and uses these local files to create the web page, along with downloading anything that has changed, to load the page faster. AOL TopSpeed cache can be cleared (will clear Microsoft Internet Explorer also) by Settings/customize AOL-View All/how AOL works-Internet (Web) Options/Clear My Footprints. AOL TopSpeed Monitor can be turned on/off by Settings/Indes/Internet (Web) Options/AOL Browser/Do not store Web pages. AOL TopSpeed Monitor is part of or related to AOL TopSpeed and may require firewall permissions.
