DHCP Manager enables the user to display/edit configuration settings of the DHCP service. Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) -part of the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Suite, Network Layer, involves a DHCP server that provides DHCP clients(computers) with automatically created network configuration information that is valid for a defined amout of time and created from a defined set of specified IP addresses. Servers provide IP Adresses, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, and some times Domain Name Service (DNS) server addresses or Windows Internet Name Service (WINS) server addresses. (other words -enables computers to connect to a network without manual configuration of network settings.)
