- In the event a problem occurs Dump Error Report collects data about your computer, encrypts it, then sends it to Microsoft over a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection. The user can enable/disable/modify when spyware-ish Dump Error Report happens. Data collected is stored on servers that have limited access but is available to Microsoft employees, contracters, and software vendors. Type of data collect by Dump Error Report may include Recent Actions by you or your software, Network Info (your IP, websites visited and info submitted), Machine Info (hardware and software), Files (documents, applications, logs), Memory Dumps, Software Info (including license).
