- Task Manager could be legitimate Windows OS process. Task Manager enables the user to display/stop all the processes running on the computer, offers performance information, and can be accessed with the famous three finger salute (Ctrl-Alt-Del). taskmgr.exe is also a command line entry to open Task Manager. CAUTION: Various trojan/worm/spyware overwrite or create a file by this name.
