- Network Time Synchronization Service has three possible configurations: Master Time Server -use SNTP to set system time accurately via external sources, Primary Tim Server -use Master Time Server to set system time accurately, Secondary (Client Mode) -use only Primary Time Server to set system time accurately. Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) -protocol used to synchronize computer clocks in the global Internet.
