I am happiest when I am drowning in a materials library. A sketch tells me my perimeters as a designer but materials give the space a soul and a purpose. As designers, our biggest asset is the ability to create dialogue between various materials. A material is a character, it comes with its history, its own relationships, and comes it its flaws.
